A Safe Place to Call Home
At Community 24-7, we partner with local shelters, private landlords and others to provide access to a home and supportive services for women who are transitioning from local shelters and transitional living facilities. We believe that every woman deserves a stable foundation upon which to build a bright future, and we work hard to ensure that this is the case.
Affordable Housing
Although shelter is a fundamental human need, access to affordable housing is a crisis plaguing communities nationally. Coordination of programs, as well as community support to address challenges associated with experiencing hardship and/or homelessness, will empower and equip women to actively participate in the upbuilding of communities.

In a recent Point-in-Time (PIT) Count, a federally mandated survey conducted annually that seeks to determine how many people are experiencing homelessness on any given night, the majority of respondents indicated that they were interested in finding housing with some form of long-term support services.

To date, Community 247 manages one, 2-bedroom property located in Baltimore County that serves as affordable housing for women and their children with plans to expand. Community 247 strives to not only provide physical affordable housing, but also referrals to resources and support to help offset expenses so that women can sustain their housing, recover and thrive. Our monthly eNewsletter, Neighbors of Community 247 connects women to community programs and support as well as provides inspirational content and encouragement.
